International Child Neurology Association   

ICNA is a respected international group of child neurologists who wish to advance the care of children with neurological problems throughout the world. We invite all child neurologists to join the association.

The benefits of membership include:

Members receive one book for each year they are paid members of ICNA. (For non-members, or members not having paid the fee yearly, the books can be purchased directly from the publisher (Blackwell Publishing) to a cost of USD 120.)

  • Directory of members.
  • Reduced fee for ICNA meetings. The next will be in Cairo, 2010, and then every 2nd year.
  • Participation in ICNA projects
  • Web-based learning program (in preparation)

TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP

There are four types of membership.

1. Active - any physician appropriately trained in neurology, child neurology and paediatrics and whose main clinical and/or main research activities are well established in the field of child neurology.

2. Associate - any physician or scientist who shows an interest in child neurology, whether in research or medical care.

3. Sustaining - any organisation or person who wishes to support financially the aims and programs of the Association.

4. Honorary - an active member who has distinguished himself or herself in the field of child neurology.

FINANCIAL MEMBERS RECEIVE

a) Newsletter twice per year.

b) International Review of Child Neurology Series books, usually one per year.

c) Reduced registration fee for ICNA congresses and meetings.

Member category

o ICNA Individual Member with IRCN book series AND ICNA Newsletter Subscription *
o ICNA Senior Member Dues with ICNA Newsletter ONLY subscription
o HERO FUND (Donation) **

* ICNA dues are graduated based on your country of residence or nationality acc. to a World Bank classification. High income - US$ 120; Upper middle income - US$ 90; Low middle and low income - US$ 60. Exceptions can be done on request.

** The HERO (Help Every Region Organize) fund compensates for the revenue lost in implementing graduated dues and supports members from countries where incomes are lower.

Most importantly Your membership and active participation is critical in further advancing child neurology around the world, especially in developing countries, which will ultimately benefit from possibilities of diagnoses, treatment alternatives, and general care of the patients, as well as from education and training.

 **  Future editions of the ICNA Newsletter will be sent via email to members, and placed immediately on the ICNApedia and ICNA websites. Formal paper copies will not be routinely published, but a photocopied edition can be airmailed to any member who cannot access it electronically.
