Abstract

Chronic Lymphocytic Inflammation with Pontine Perivascular Enhancement Responsive to Steroids (CLIPPERS) is a rare neurological disorder characterised by inflammatory T-lymphocyte predominant lesions in the pons, cerebellum and sometimes involving the spinal cord which improves on treatment with steroids. First described by Pittocket al in 20101there have been fewer than 100 reported cases with only 5 in the paediatric population and all with an age of onset in the second decade of life. Here we present the youngest known case of CLIPPERS and discuss the clinical, radiological and pathological features of this rare disease.
