6 yr old male with with adrenoleukodystrophy . Deteriorating behaviour since first scan three months previously which
showed Loes Score of 6. Significant further progression sincer original diagnosis.
MRI Head With Gadolinium : There is high T2 intensity in the callosal splenium parietal white matter, lateral geniculate nuclei and along the cortical spinal tract of the brainstem in keeping with ALD. Single Voxelspectroscopy in anterior and posterior normal appearing white matter demonstrates a normal spectrum. A chemical shift imaginc (CSI) was performed through the area of T2 hyperintensity which mainly shows low peaks in all areas. In two Voxels in right parietal white matter there is mildly raised choline/creatine ratio. No enhancement demonstrated following contrast administration.
