The Developing Brain Unveiled: A Comprehensive Workshop on Neonatal EEG and Clinical Relevance
Date: Monday, May 25, 2025
Time: 09:00 – 12:20
Location: R201 BC (TBC)
Moderators: To Be Confirmed
Workshop Objectives
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Recognize normal maturational EEG patterns by gestational age.
- Distinguish between normal variants and pathologic findings in neonatal EEG.
- Understand the principles of aEEG and cEEG markers and recording techniques.
- Recognize EEG signatures of common neonatal neurological disorders (e.g., HIE, hemorrhage, metabolic encephalopathies), including interpretation of burst suppression, discontinuity, and other pathological patterns in clinical context.
