The EPNS has been organising training courses in paediatric neurology since 2003 specifically aiming at trainees but also at qualified paediatric neurologists who want to refresh their knowledge on certain topics. The aim is to cover most main topics in the syllabus over a three-year cycle and to promote contact between individuals in the speciality in different parts of Europe. The course has a highly interactive character and participants are encouraged to bring (difficult) cases to discuss. The number of participants is limited and applicants who wish to attend both courses will be given priority over those who wish to attend one of the two courses. The cycle of training courses 2015-2017 took place in Budapest, Hungary.

We are excited to announce that the next cycle of training courses 2018-2020 will take place in beautiful Alicante, Spain.

On behalf of the Indian Academy of Paediatrics (IAP) Kerala Neurology Chapter, I am pleased to announce an educational meeting under the auspices of the International Child Neurology Association (ICNA), which will take place on 2-4 March 2018 in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. The meeting will feature an eminent international and national faculty.

The conference will be held over two days and will include plenary style lectures, coupled with interactive case sessions and panel discussions. The main topics for the meeting would include epilepsy, neurometabolic disorders, neurorehabilitation, neonatal neurology and CNS infections.

The varied topics will address specific issues and potential solutions in paediatric neurology from different perspectives. A limited number of peer reviewed posters will also be accepted for the meeting. The scientific programme will provide an opportunity for continuous professional development for all participants and excellent learning experience for students and residents.

Exchange of scientific knowledge and clinical practice through international collaborations is the key to promoting education and fostering research of international significance. The meeting will also serve as an excellent opportunity to prepare for the 15th ICNA Biennial congress (ICNC2018) to be held in Mumbai in November.

The meeting will be held in the city of Thiruvananthapuram, also known as “Trivandrum” the capital and the largest city of the state of Kerala. I look forward to seeing you all in Thiruvananthapuram in March, 2018 for this exciting educational event.

This bi-annual International Expert to Expert: Epilepsy course has been designed primarily for paediatric neurologists and others who are seeing children with epilepsy at a tertiary level. This meeting provides an excellent opportunity to listen to international expert lectures and discuss the topics and approaches with your peers in small workshops. This course is for all paediatric neurologists, both those for whom epilepsy is not necessarily their area of sub-speciality expertise and for epilepsy specialists.
