Update on Neuroimaging

SUMMARY

Neuroimaging plays an important role in the practice of pediatric neurology and great advances are being made in the various neuroimaging modalities. We will emphasize neuroimaging advances in epilepsy, neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorders, 3 broad fields within child neurology. Each of the speakers will discuss the various imaging modalities pertaining to the particular area of expertise, including both anatomical and functional imaging. We expect a large audience.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

(1) to provide a clinically relevant update on various neuroimaging modalities
(2) to discuss which neuroimaging methods are most suited for children with epilepsy, neurodevelopmental disorders, and neurodegenerative disorders
(3) to discuss the concept of multimodality neuroimaging
