Additional data on head circumference in patients with glucose transporter 1 deficiency syndrome: The Glut1 deficiency foundation conference cohort

Last year, the results of our study on the head circumference of a large series of Dutch patients with glucose transporter 1 deficiency syndrome (GLUT1DS) were published in this Journal [1]. We showed that frank microcephaly is not a common feature in patients with GLUT1DS. Rather, these patients, on average, have smaller heads than healthy individuals [1]. To verify or extend this finding in a large group of individuals, and in conjunction with the Glut1 Deficiency Foundation, we measured the head circumferences of all patients who would attend the July 2022 patient conference in San Diego.
