Dr. Renata Paolilo is a Pediatric Neurologist in São Paulo, Brazil. She acquired a Pediatric Neurology specialization and a Ph.D. in Science and is a Post-Doctorate student at the School of Medicine of São Paulo University (FMUSP). She is currently in charge of the Pediatric Inflammatory Disorders outpatient clinic at Instituto da Criança do Hospital das Clínicas da FMUSP.

Dr. Silvia Tenembaum is a Pediatric Neurologist who received her MD with honors from the School of Medicine, University of Buenos Aires and acquired further specialization in Pediatric Neurology in Argentina. She is currently Chief of Clinics and Chair of the Pediatric Neuroimmunology Program at the Department of Neurology, National Pediatric Hospital Dr Juan P. Garrahan of Buenos Aires, a tertiary referral pediatric hospital. She is also an Executive Board Member of the International Child Neurology Association ( ICNA ). 

Dr. Maria José Rivera is a Pediatric Neurologist resident at the School of Medicine, Uruguayan Republic University (UdelaR), Pereira Rossell Children Hospital, Montevideo, Uruguay.

Pediatric central nervous system demyelinating disorders encompass a group of rare inflammatory diseases such as multiple sclerosis, neuromyelitis optica, acute disseminated encephalomyelitis, and the most recently described MOG antibody-associated disease. Although a large amount of progress has been achieved in the last few years due to advances in biological insights, neuroimaging techniques, and diagnostic criteria refinement, differential diagnosis and access to treatment can still be challenging. This FLICNA podcast will focus on how to approach a child with suspected CNS demyelination, from diagnosis workup to differential diagnosis and treatment options.
