Dr. Suman Das is currently working as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at North Bengal Medical College, has 11 years of teaching experience, 44 publications to date, and is a principal investigator in multiple projects of ICNA, NICED, and Indian Ministry of Health Research. Former District Level Trainer for SNCU care and follow-up of high-risk neonates and Nodal persons for Japanese B encephalitis vaccination. Dr. Das is a member of the International Child Neurology Association ( ICNA ), FLICNA ( Future Leaders of ICNA ), the Indian Academy of Pediatrics, the Indian Academy of Neurology, the Association of Child Neurologists, including its Special Interest Group of Neurogenetics, and the International Pediatric Stroke Organisation.
Prof. Pratibha Singhi is head of the Department of Pediatric Neurology at Amrita Hospital Faridabad, India. She was the Director of Pediatric Neurology at Medanta Gurugram and former Head and Chief of Pediatric Neurology at the Department of Pediatrics, Advanced Pediatrics Centre, PGIMER, and Chief Consultant at Prayas – the Rehabilitation Centre for Disabled Children, Chandigarh. She was invited to work as a consultant Neurologist at the Great Ormond Street Hospital, London, in 2005 and 2008. She did her MBBS from the University of Rajasthan and secured the first position in all the five affiliated medical colleges of the University in all the MBBS exams. This is the only record of its kind – to date. She received several gold medals, including "The President of India Medal". She did her MD in Pediatrics from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. She trained in Pediatric Neurology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and the Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore, USA, and the UK.
Dr. Anaita Udwadia Hegde is a Consultant Pediatric Neurologist in Mumbai, India. She is the Director of the Department of Neurosciences at NH-SRCC Hospital and an honorary consultant at Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre and Wadia Children Hospital. She is on the executive board of the International Child Neurology Association ( ICNA ) and is leading the ICNA Sustainability and Transformation Committee. She is the Past President of the Association of Child Neurology – India ( AOCN - India ). She founded the Child Neurology outreach program in Maharashtra and was the Medical Director of Jai Vakeel School for Children. She has been a post-graduate teacher and a mentor for the Pediatric Neurology Fellowship Program for over 20 years.
Dr. Anshita Arora is an Assistant Professor and Pediatric Neurologist from Udaipur, India. She has completed her Pediatric Neurology training at Wadia Children's Hospital and Jaslok Hospital, Mumbai. She is an executive member of Future Leaders of the International Child Neurology Association (FLICNA). She has participated in many national and international publications and presentations. She was a sub-investigator in international multi-centric clinical trials and randomized controlled trials. Her areas of interest are Epilepsy, Neuro-immunology, and Neuro-genetics.
During the sessions, the speaker will be presenting three cases of infection-associated cerebral arteriopathies. A summary of each case can be seen below.
Case 1: Ebstein Barr virus sepsis, meningoencephalitis, and multifocal stenotic lesions along with cerebral infarction associated with acute subdural hematoma.
Case 2: Staphylococcus aureus orbital cellulitis with multifocal stenotic progressive arteriopathy.
Case 3: Staphylococcus aureus orbital cellulitis with resolving mycotic aneurysmal lesion.
